Woodwards

There was much excitement in Birkdale Village at the opening of trendy new Woodwards bar recently. Fortunately for us, it's right next door, so we don't have far to go for some great coffee or more importantly, a cold glass of wine!!

We were both invited to the official VIP launch party which was amazing. We were greeted by fire-eaters, stilt walkers and a really cool Salsa band.

The bar is owned by Everton Captain, Alan Stubbs.

Every week, the marketing team at Yaffé Fusion Art have a meeting which is usually held in our boardroom. However we felt it much more appropriate to enjoy a fab Costa coffee with fresh pastries at the same time, so we took our laptops and notebooks along for an early morning meeting last week. It's great, because they open from 7.30am which suits us perfectly! You should try it.

We fancied some flavoured coffee and asked if they had a caramel latté. They didn't but we suggested an amaretto one instead and they duly obliged. It was lovely, so we had another! We couldn't understand why we felt a bit giddy after those and put it down to caffeine overload. But later on we discovered, somewhat stupidly, that our flavour of amaretto was actually from a shot of amaretto liqueur! Little did we know it, but we were actually getting drunk from alcohol during our early morning meeting!!! Oops! (we must do that again!!!)
