It's the Liverpool food festival at the moment, and we love nothing more than some posh nosh when we should really be dieting! So with a perfect excuse, we set of for Liverpool to find some of the most stylish places to be seen to eat at.
Highly recommended to us was The Restaurant Bar & Grill in Brunswick Street. When we arrived in Liverpool, we were looking for somewhere to park but were really struggling as nearly all the roads were closed! Stupidly, we failed to realise that we had chosen to come over during the Matthew Street festival! Eventually parking millions of miles away we walked to the restaurant. Slight exaggeration, but hey-ho! Anyway, we needed the exercise!!!
By the time we arrived, starvation had consumed us! The charming man at the bar settled us in with our favourite tipple and provided us with some pitta and humous whilst we perused the delectable menu.

The bar
The venue is super stylish and über-cool to say the least. In fact we even bumped into some of our clients and a well known Liverpool face too!

We sat just on the right!
Our menu choice was so difficult as it all looked so fabulous, but in the end we went for the slightly unadventurous choice of the beefburger with monterrey jack cheese, caramelised onion relish, fries and barbecue sauce with an extra portion of extra fat chips! Mmmm, it was delicious!
Actually we managed to squeeze in starters of crispy duck spring rolls and the most amazing dessert of... 'A pudding plate to share; sticky toffee pudding, vanilla creme brulée, dark chocolate and amaretto mousse and warm fudge brownies'. Oh my god, as usual in our lives, dessert is always the most anticipated and we were justly rewarded, it was incredible!

Our yummy dessert. "Three more please, waiter!"
Five stone heavier, we left the restaurant and waddled back to the car!
Perhaps you have some personal recommendations of fabulous places to dine in your area? Write to us here, and let us know and maybe we'll take a visit!

Usual cheesy grin!

I ate at the Malmaison hotel in Liverpool and thought it was very impressive. The staff are very attentive and the food is second to none. You should try it!
