Holidays!

Posted by Adam and Sandra on August 2, 2007 10:58 AM |

Well, we have been busy! Have you missed us? With all this horrible rain and nasty weather recently, we've been holidaying and working extra hard to pay for all our extra summer clothes!! So, have you been away yet to get that great all over tan? When you got there were you ghostly white?

If you're going away, and don't want to look so white that you've clearly flown over from England, then we can suggest a couple of good tanning products.

This one has been highly recommended to us by many people. We found it quite messy to apply, you needed rubber gloves and lots of rubbing in. Then you don't look so clever until you wash it all off the next morning, so not great if you're in a hurry or don't like mess. The result, however, was pleasing. This retails at about £22.

'Sublime' self tanning gel by L'Oreal is half the price and very easy to apply, with no mess and great results.

Always remember, before applying any self-tan, to exfoliate paying particular attention to elbows, knees and heels otherwise you'll end up with dirty looking patches and streaks.

Contrary to popular belief, you should not moisturise before applying self-tan as it becomes less effective.

If you know of any great tanning products, or tanning disasters, let us know and we'll mention it here.

BLING BLING?

Now, for you boys out there, it is becoming very fashionable to wear a bit of sparkle. It's also quite easy to get this very wrong, like this example...

There are now loads of great clothes, watches, and jewellery all with a bit of bling! We've found some cool examples from D&G, Diesel and fashion designer Outrage of London.

The T-Shirt by Outrage is available in River Island and Base shops and are about £25. The necklaces are available from most high street jewellery stores and also online and range from £100-£200. The sunglasses are £175.

Of course, great copies are available on the high street for a fraction of the price, and some fabulous prices can be found on eBay as well.

Don't be afraid to sparkle boys, you only have to look in the mags like Heat and OK, and you'll see bling everywhere. It can be mixed with any type of fashion from a pair of surfer shorts on the beach, to jeans and a trendy top, or even a smart shirt.

If you don't want to go over the top, simply wear a stunning pair of cuff links with a suit to add that little sparkle!

Have fun!
