A huge long 4x4 limo picked us up the other night to meet up with some of our celebrity friends for dinner at the Malmaison hotel in Liverpool. They included a national chart show DJ and a couple of footballers and their wives! We were lucky enough to be able to reserve the private dining room named 'The Boudoir'!
Before eating, we all met up in the 'Plum' bar for cocktails, which is totally amazing and beautiful. We informed everyone that they just had to have the Mal's very own Cosmopolitan which is too good to be legal! A few of those, and you need help to your table!
There are two private dining rooms there in the gorgeous bistro restaurant. The other room is 'The Chef's Table' which is half in the kitchen, but divided by glass so you don't get too close!
We invited our Personal trainer, (and now friend) Kev to join us. We thought he would ensure we didn't break our diet rules, but after he saw the amazing menu, he told us we could have a 'cheat meal' and eat whatever we wanted! Woo-hoo!!! Mind you, he probably only said that so he could eat anything too!
This was our first taste of bread in just over two months. You might think 'so what?' but after not being allowed any for so long now, we were craving it and wolfed down plenty, and it was fabulous!
The whole meal was fantastic and included for us the signature dish 'The Mal Burger' truly a gastronomic delight! This was accompanied for us by one of our favourite rubbish foods, 'chips'n'cheese'! All in all, we probably ate as much food as we would have done for a normal whole week all put together!
As great nights go, it ended all too soon, and before we knew it we were heading back home in our super limo!
We took lots of snaps whilst we were out and this is a great opportunity to give a great tip about having your pictures taken whilst out in the evening...
This is for the girls. You will have often seen pics taken in a restaurant or bar during the evening, and your skin looks really white, patchy or even sweaty. Chances are this is because the makeup you are wearing contains something called 'mica' which is light reflective. Lots of products contain this ingredient which can look great in real life, but not in front of a flash. So ask your at your favourite makeup counter for a matt finish foundation without mica!
