OK, so we want to be thinner. Who doesn’t?! Summer’s approaching and we must keep on top of our own appearance especially in unforgiving summer clothes! So we have enlisted the help of fitness guru, the man with an Adonis like figure to put even brad pit to shame…Kev.
We arranged our first meet with great excitement, and a little fear. Two days later we made our way up to the induction area, sat ourselves down and waited for the big man himself. A couple of minutes later and we thought ‘what the hell are we doing here?!’ and got up to run out, only to bump into Kev who marched us straight back in!

Actually, he was really kind to us both and certainly helped to allay some of our fears. But the machines and weights were staring at us, ready to break us!
So after a chat about our diet and the presentation of our soon to be treasured ‘food diaries’ we got to our first nemesis, the Versa-Climber! Oh my God! Two minutes of virtual mountain climbing and our thighs were about to explode in pain! Everyone was looking at the two idiots panting like they had just run the London marathon! Fortunately we then moved onto some weights, and to our relief, little ones! Kev had us do some simple exercises in a circuit training style.
After 10 minutes of this, we thought ‘thank goodness that’s over’ or so we thought… After we wiped the sweat from our brows and drank a litre of water each, Kev says drink more water! Kev instructed us back onto the climber of death! Then back onto the weights, only heavier ones this time, then back on the Versa-Climber, AND then back on the weights!
What have we let ourselves into? Are you currently working out at the gym? Let us know how you are getting on and post us a question for Kev.
Kev, let us in on a few good tips worth remembering…
Kev says eat little and often. Start your day off with a low GI food such as porridge, but made with water (it’s really not as bad as you may think), and sprinkled with some dried fruit or a chopped up banana to help sweeten.

Our choice of breakfast...Mmmm!
Try cutting out starchy foods like bread, pasta, potatoes, rice etc. Alternative sources of carbs will be vegetables.
Any good tips from you? Let us know here!
There’s going to be plenty more tips, so keep checking back!
