Hello again! It’s been a fabulous week, with summer weather approaching and an opportunity to revisit our summer wardrobes.
After having held an amazing ‘How to Look Good’ day at the Yaffé studios in Southport raising funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice, we’ve picked up some great tips from beauty presenter and makeup artist ‘Armand’. He revealed to us that the hot new colours for this season where bright citrus oranges, limes and yellows. Sadly for the girls, no more lip gloss, as matt is back. Girls, could you ever give up your lip gloss?
Also, celebrity stylist Lorraine McCulloch let on that this summer; ditch those opaque tights in favour of golden brown bare legs! Apparently micro-minis are going to be all the rage. So, what are you planning on wearing this season? Is it the micro-minis, or will it be the trendy new maxi-dress? Leave us your comments and let us know!
The latest look!
We’ve been mentally preparing for the onslaught of hard work at the gym this week with Kev, our personal trainer. He’s doing our assessment on Monday, and we fear the worst… no alcohol! The thought of not finishing a day with a refreshingly cold glass of vino is almost too much to bear, let alone the thought of no chocolate! What should we do?
We were invited to the opening party of the gorgeous new Malmaison hotel in Liverpool a few weeks ago, and what a bash that was! You must visit the ‘Plum’ bar for a cocktail. But make sure you get a taxi, because their Cosmopolitans are so fab, once you’d had one, you just have to have another!
On the subject of where else to be seen in Liverpool, a great place especially at lunch time is the Living Room where you are bound to spot a famous face or two! Possibly even us!!! If you do, come over to say hello, and we’ll take your picture with us to put on this blog!
Evening time is a great time at Alma de Cuba. If you’re planning a night out there, be sure to be around at the bar at 11pm as all the gorgeous waitresses hand sprinkle confetti and rose petals from above, it’s great fun!

It’s not just humans who can carry of good styling… This week we saw trendy pooch ‘Daisy-May’ at our studios who was sporting a beautiful diamond studded collar! She looked divine! You go girl!
