We've recently attended our favourite event of the year, The Angel Ball. It's in aid of Francis House Children's Hospice. The appeal is headed up by Kirsty Howard who is sadly terminally ill. She's more commonly known as 'Beckhams's Angel'

Woodwards

There was much excitement in Birkdale Village at the opening of trendy new Woodwards bar recently. Fortunately for us, it's right next door, so we don't have far to go for some great coffee or more importantly, a cold glass of wine!!

Our friend Pete!

Today we went to a fabulous book launch for Pete Price's autobiography 'Namedropper'. It was an event superbly organised by Liverpool 'it' girl, Carolyn Hughes and held at the trendy 'Living Room' in Victoria Street.

Talented Youngster Awards

We had the pleasure of being invited to the annual Talented Youngster Awards at the Palace Hotel in Manchester. Yaffé Fusion Art has been supporting the event over the last three years helping it raise funds for Destination Florida.

No frills fashion

THE retail sector may have been having a tough time of late but, as shoppers in Liverpool showed last week, there is one shining exception.

There were queues round the block at Liverpool’s new Primark before it opened on Wednesday – and the store was even forced to stay open late that day to cope with the volume of customers.

Even into this week, the discount retailer still had crash barriers up to marshal the hordes wanting to splash their cash.

Who on earth watches QVC?!! Apparently, lots of people do, and now, we do too! It's not because we've taken to secret shopping in the middle of the night, but rather because a good friend of ours, Claire Simonsen (married to Stoke City goalkeeper Steve Simonsen) is in the finals of a competition to find the next QVC presenter.

Kirsty

Who doesn't know beautiful little Kirsty? Known by many as 'Beckham's Angel'. The amazingly brave and terminally ill little girl, born with her heart back to front. Doctors said she may not survive past 4 years old, but miraculously at 12 years old, she's still beating the odds and continuing to spearhead the campaign to raise money for Francis House Children's Hospice.
